The Oporto City Park was inaugurated in 1993 and designed by the landscape architect Sidónio Pardal. At the moment it is considered the largest urban park of the country, with 83 hectares and about 10km of paths, having the particularity of the green areas are understood until the sea.
In addition to the lakes and varied fauna and flora, the park also has the Water Pavilion which was one of the thematic pavilions of Expo '98.
The park is also the stage of NOS Primavera Sound, homologous of the festival with the same name of Barcelona.
